Fold: Prayer Wall & Bible ("Fold," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Ratio Labs, Incorporated. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Fold and its related services.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Fold, we may collect:
- Profile and preference data: display name, companion name, prayer reminders, saved settings, and subscription status.
- Prayer and Scripture activity: prayer requests you submit, prayers you mark, saved passages, notes, reading activity, and guided prayer progress.
- Companion messages: prompts and replies exchanged with the Fold companion so the service can respond and apply its safety rules.
- Church choices: a church you search for or choose to join in Fold.
- Purchase data: product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction status, and App Store purchase metadata supplied by Apple and our subscription tools.
- Technical data: app version, device type, operating system, product events, crash diagnostics, request logs, and similar information used to operate and secure Fold.
How we use information
We use this information to operate Fold, save your preferences, provide prayer and Scripture features, respond through the companion, maintain subscription access, moderate community content, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and answer support requests.
Prayer Wall and community content
Prayer requests submitted to the Prayer Wall may be visible to other Fold users after moderation. Do not submit private, sensitive, emergency, or identifying information that you do not want other people to see. We may remove or limit content that appears unsafe, abusive, spammy, or unrelated to Fold.
AI companion and safety
Fold uses third-party AI infrastructure to generate companion responses and Scripture-related reflections. The companion is for prayer, reflection, and encouragement. It is not God, clergy, therapy, medical care, legal advice, emergency services, or other professional advice. If you may be in immediate danger, contact emergency services or a trusted person now.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Fold, including Apple for App Store purchases, Supabase for authentication and data storage, OpenRouter and its model providers for companion and moderation requests, Superwall for subscription offers and entitlement handling, Firebase for analytics and crash reporting, and Apple Maps for church search. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Subscriptions and payments
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment-card information. We receive subscription and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features and support purchases.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Fold, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and improve the service. Some diagnostic logs may be retained for less time than account or content data.
Your choices
You may stop using Fold at any time. You can delete your Fold profile and associated app data from Profile in the app. You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple account. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational limits.
Children
Fold is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will review the request.
Changes
We may update this policy as Fold changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
